I'm not terribly surprised by this as disco was always more of a singles-orientated genre. I seem to recall that the 70s LP market was always dominated by rock acts. :x

I had to pull this post up again after being at the Troc the other night and hearing Stevie Wonder's "Another Star" played at full disco volume for the first time again since I first did when it was new. And boy did it sound great. I thought that maybe "Songs In The Key of Life ' should get half a credit as a disco album ...... then as I thought some more ... hell that album had several great songs that got extensive play in the clubs .... "As " , "Another Star" , "I Wish" ..in fact it offers more tunes for club play than many "disco" albums ...... so I am giving it full credit as ANOTHER top ten album of the seventies that was disco . Putting the American side ahead 2 to 1 in this comparison.
----- To be fair though ... the British side gets an additional one tenth of a point since one cut on "ABBA's Greatest Hits" is "Dancing Queen". , making the score now ---- 2 to 1.1. --- :D :D
