    45 RPM DISCO @ 33.3 RPM

NRGBEAT mentioned "Magic Bird Of Fire" being played at a sleazy 33 rpm (would love to have heard that at the right time an' place!)
Makes me wonder what other trax were played at the wrong speed (on purpose!) back in the disco daze.
One of my 6am favourites was phasing 2 copies of Harold Thurman "Underwater" at 33, don't know if this was sleaze or just plain messy!
What else have you played / heard at the "wrong" speed?
I know the "Cosmic" Italians were particularly into this...

I've recently been groovin to Moon Maiden and Superqueen (Walter Gibbons) at -8, but this might just be an age / mushroom thang! :o

Bobby Viteritti used that 45 of "Magic Bird Of Fire" slowed down to 331/3 on his "Giorgio & Beyond" CD. (This was his gift set for "friends" back in the day). It was near "Stop" by Bob-a-rela and sounded real nice.

He also pitched down Donna's "Hot Stuff" like -6 on one of his Castro Fair T-Dance sets. It got reeeeeeeeeal sleeeeeeeeeazy sounding....mixed it with Wardell Piper's "Supersweet," I think.(Don't have it in front of me).

I bet it sounds great-- loaded,---not that I'd know anything 'bout that. :P

"Trans Europe Express" got more famous when people played it faster than it was originally intended to be played. I've heard that song sampled at various speeds in many songs. Most notably sped up in "Planet Rock" by Afrika Bambaataa.

Trans Europe Express played backwards on 45 speed with Planet Rock was un-believable.I rember this being done at the FUNHOUSE in NYC when Jellybean was there.
