    Thats right,

    i went crate diggin' again in my favorite second hand record store and found some great twelve inches:

    * DYNASTY - I don't wanna be a freak (but i can't help myself) (1979 - Solar Records)
    > who did the cover of this song?

    * THE WHISPERS: This Kind of Lovin' (1981 - Solar Record)
    > Strangly this 12" was in a West End Records sleeve
    > again, who did that recent cover/ sampling of this song?

    * COLLAGE: Money in your Pocket (1982 - Solar record)
    > another tune produced by the whispers

    * SHARON REDD: Love how you feel (1983 - Prelude records)

    * SLAVE: STELLAR FUNGK (1978 - Cotillion Music)
    > great guitar-disco track

    * YELLOW: Tied Up (1988 - Mercury)
    > a late-eighties afro-disco influenced track! nice percussions!

    * VARIOUS ARTIST: RAP RAP RAP (1980 - Sugarhill Records released thru VOGUE France)
    > this is a limited edition 12" compilation record with fantastic full length tracks as:
    The Birthday Party - Grand master Flash and the Furious Five (funky backgroundtrack with KAZOO's on it!)
    That's the Joint - Funky 4 plus 1 (simply the best early disco-rap song)
    Spoonín Rap - Spoonie Gee (another Sample classic)

    * and last, but not least: an original 1971 pressing of DOUBLE BARREL album - DAVE and ANSEL COLLINS on TROJAN RECORDS.
    > this is pure REGGAE classic with their most famous song 'Double Barrel' that starts with the words: "i am the magnificent" Also lots of other great songs on the album

    I must say that this was a very good day for record hunting! and i payed no more than 2 Euro's for each record!

    Peace,

    Sounds like you had a good day out!! :grin:

    Isn't it great when you go out and can pick up some great songs in the second hand shops? I love doing the same thing myself - in London there are loads of these shops. The last second hand record I bought was a Patrice Rushen LP with an instrumental track, "Number One", that I had been after for some time, on it. It also had "Forget Me Nots". Paid One Pound for it (One and a Half Euros!)
