Bamalama! Belle Epoque Lovers around ?

    Does somebody remember ?
This was really good trashin´ late 70s disco waste
    with much analogsynth, brass, whatever.
And the lead of the three female singers looked like
    she was singing: scratchy ...
    10 stars for Bamalama - Medley 8)
They also did "Black is Black" ...
    Does somebody know them ?

Yep, I have most of their stuff on vinyl. "Miss Broadway" was great. Special, catchy and a few years ago it was even sampled by Pras from The Fugees (don't remember the title of that one anymore). They were cool for a short period coz their carreer didn't last long unfortunately. Check out:

The team responsible for the Belle Epoque stuff also put out a 12" under the moniker Weyman Avenue in 1977. The ruff-sounding female vocalists are the same, too, so look out for "Key of Dreams".

midway through half of the track when the tempo kicks up with that sweet walking bassline.

Also the slow "you and me" from the a-side of the lp is a very good track
