    Reunion Tracks?

Have been helping to organise a school reunion later this month. Any suggestions for getting a load of 40 somethings on the dance floor. All suggestions must be between the years 1975 - 1980.
    I'll start with "Searchin'" - Change. :)

Stuff Johnny Kemp - Just Got Paid onto the sound system and no-one will be able to sit down. Its from later on, but one hell of a thumpin' sound.

Here's some others (not necessarily from '75-80...why limit it?):
    Candido - Jingo (anthem)
Bohannon - Let's Start II Dance Again (anthem)
Arrow - Hot, Hot, Hot (one of THE party records of all time)
Mandrill - Funky Monkey ( a real get up off ya ass goodtime fast funk track)
Banbarra - Shack Up (it used to rip up my dancefloor)
Chic - Le Freak/Good Times (so commercial, but so damned good)
Shalamar - A Night To Remember (maybe their most well known track)
    Dare I mention Michael Jackson?

How Dumb!!! In that case drag out all the radio hits from that exact era, 'cos they'll sure as hell remember those and probably dance to them. Or you could drag out the Hi Ho Silver Linings of this world as they would have undoubtedley been played at the school disco, along with other records that weren't from those years.
Not sure why anyone would want to be so rigid.
    Not sure it's entirely healthy.

it's a 6 year time span....hundreds of popular songs, disco, dance, soul and otherwise were made then....look at some of the billboards charts that markydefad has in his post or look at some of the charts in the top disco songs section...it's a high school reunion,so it's the songs u heard while u were going to school to add to the memories

Thanks for all the feedback. I've been mailing people who are coming along on the night and have a couple of hundred tracks already mentioned as memory joggers from the time. As you would expect from the 70's the songs are varied to say the least. Yes "Hi Ho Silver Lining" is in there as are a few others from late 60's early 70's ranging from Rock to Reggae and Pop to Punk. I'll try to get hold of the T-Connection track.
