Remember back in the late '70s/early '80s when Billboard magazine published a "Disco" chart, including lists for various cities? I'm wondering if anybody here collected and saved those charts and/or has copies available. Billboard has compiled many of its other charts in book form, but it seems doubtful they'll ever publish a book of its disco charts. I'd be willing to pay a reasonable fee for copies of these charts. Thanks!
Yes, I remember that. In Italy was very difficult to get a copy, just in some shop in Rome. For that I do not have any.
In Italy there was a magazine called "ROCKSTAR" that was publishing disco charts. Is there anybody remembering it?
People all over the world, It\'s time for love & understanding, Come together!!
I've posted it several times in the past.
I HAVE ALL THE BILLBOARD DISCO CHARTS from the very first (Oct 74) until 1985, and many other friends in this board received them from me. Everybody is invited to email me if interested. I don't want money but the cost of photocopying and shipping (I am based in Italy).
This is the post where I met Jeff. Yes, it was about acquiring old Billboard Disco charts.
November 10, 2001.....I helped him obtain the charts from a nice guy in Illinois...and we became good friends.

oh, now I remember. I sent the charts to some Jeff but they went lost in the mail. Maybe he was that Jeff. Peace!

Hi Giovanni,
No, although you were the original source of the Billboard charts, it was a guy in Illinois named Mike that Jeff & I got them from. But, I believe that Mike got them from you and for that, we are eternally grateful.:icon_biggrin:
