A while ago Nano whacked up a thread called "What's In A Nickname?" so I thought I might ask the same question about how you's came up with your signatures.

With my signature which I recently added to my profile, how I came up with "Australia mate!" is I thought I'd put something up that sounds real Australain and I was thinking a while back when my little brother was chanting "Australia mate! Australia mate!" imitating a real slurred Aussie bloke accent, plus the word "mate" is heavily used in Australia so I thought yeah this would be good for a signature. The other part of my signature "The land of many great wonders" well our country does have some unique characteristics such as "Uluru" (Ayers Rock), our animals such as the kangaroo and the platipus and the koala bear and the Tasmanian devil (which in the 50's became a new cartoon character for the Bugs Bunny cartoons), the world's largest arch bridge "Sydney Harbour Bridge" completed in 1932, plus many other things.

I've seen your signatures and you's have some pretty interesting phrases. I like sutnop's signature "Real disco comes from funk" great signature.

So how did you's come up with your signatures?
Australia mate! The land of many great funkateers!

Mine is simple: Lyrics are from a song by One Way feat. Al Hudson called, "Come Dance With Me."

I was playing this album a while back because Marky and Keefe had turned me on to it again with another cut, "Now That I Found You."

My current one is a quote from South Park: Bigger, Longer, & Uncut. It's in the scene after Cartman, Kyle, and Stan accidentally stumble across a hardcore German scat video on the internet, and discover that it stars Cartman's mom.

Damn, I love that movie.

I've previously used quotes from Chasing Amy and Hothead Paisan, the latter of which evidently caused great offense to one individual.

I don't watch much South Park but I've seen that incident and it's a bit gross but at the same time pretty funny. Funny thing that Cartman's mom seems like an average mother from the early episodes but later in the series she gets up to all sorts of weird things plus in the series where Cartman is wanting to find his real dad, it's revealed that Cartman's mom is half man half woman.

Speaking of South Park, the bit I really liked was when they had Fat Albert on TV (Fat Abbot on South Park) and he was totally swearing his head off, I liked how he goes "Hey hey hey, how's it goin' 'n' sh&%", and one of the girls goes "Fat Abbot why don't you lose some weight" and Fat Abbot goes ballistic at her swearing his head off at her. That was hilarious.

Just changed the last part of my signature to "The land of many great funkateers" as Blaxman just suggested. In reality we do have some funk/disco lovers scattered here and there around Australia although most of us were more into rock and pop back in the 70's.

So my signature will now be:
Australia mate! The land of many great funkateers!

"Let the music take your mind, baby", very easy.
It's just a lyric from the Kenny Gee's "Dance all night" track, I love that sentence!
