    I've never seen a 12" version of "I Zimbra"

but I remember the original version is on their album "Fear of Music". Very percussive, a bit funky. If you like it, you should check out the entire album they did of similar music. It's called "Remain in Light."

    I Zimbra

I Zimbra is indeed on Fear of Music, however, there is another version by Brain Eno that came out on a 12" US promo

back when the original was released. I heard Dave Mancuso play it the other day and had to ask him what it was! Sad but true... mind you I did only ask him the one.
This version is slightly longer and has some pitch-changing type effects on the beats towards the end of the track. It's a gem but seems impossible to find.
If you don't find Fear of Music you can buy the normal version of I Zimbra on iTunes :-?

It is not impossible to find, but its price is rising since Mancuso himself have been after this record for about one and half year. At last he found someone on ebay who decided to close the auction to give him the record..... (gossip gossip!!)

    "impossible"

ok, when I say 'seems impossible', I mean to say that it's pretty difficult to find. I'm not trying to give it the 'big-one' when it comes to buying records...

If you happen to find a copy lying around, email me and I'll have it!
