Haven't gone to any clubs in Russia for ages since I hear it's still 90 per cent hard tekkno there and loud as hell. Any smoother sound options in St Petersburg now, perhaps? Back in the day I recall wild scenes of caviar and vodka flying in the air in bars along the Nevski Prospect, everyone dancing to "Hot Wax" by Mother F, girls who looked like supermodels jumping on tabletops, and then I have a vivid memory of falling down the stairs with a group of people at 3 in the morning, still laughing like mad.

I've been in Moscow several times in the last years and the disco scene is absolutely hi speed techno, or hip hop. Russians completely missed the disco era....
