Oops , that was me, only really posted to see my avatar then forgot to Log In, Doh!
But I'll add Nation Funktasia
LOL  I'm shocked to see NJS stuff posted here...but I like it! :D
I really loved the two albums Chuckii Booker put out back in the day. Innovative stuff and often quite jazzy sounding too.
Also, the extremely talented David Peaston's great tracks "We're All In This Together" (1991) derves a mention.
Should be interesting to see some of the regular dm members posting in this thread ....I know some that won't though
Sorry to generalise & be negative but I always saw new jack swing as being the beginning of the end for US r'n'b music. I don't bother with anything after '87; just my opinion.
"Girl I Got My Eyes On You" Today
"I'll Be Good To YOu" Bobby Brown
"I've Got the Feeling" Bubba
"Why You Wanna Get Funky on Me" Today
"Sensitivity" Ooooohh!!! Ralph Tresvant (he couldn't top it sadly)
"We Got Our Own Thang" - Heavy D & the Boyz (Samples CJ & Co. 'Devil's Gun' beautifully)
"Yo! That's a Lot of Body" - Ready for the World
"Treat 'Em Right" Chubb Rock
I could go on and on and on... :P
