To be very controversial from heaven and hell, lets get really funky. To start with here's 10 of some of the coolest funk tracks of 1975 seeing that funk was REAL HARDCORE that year:

    1 - Isaac Hayes - Chocolate Chip
2 - Betty Davis - This Is It
    3 - Banbarra - Shack Up
    4 - Sandra Philips - Miss Fatback
    5 - Parliament - Side Effects/Mothership Connection
    6 - Brass Construction - Movin'
    7 - Kool & The Gang - Spirit Of The Boogie/Caribbean Festival
8 - Kay Gees - Hustle With Every Muscle/Get Down
    9 - Commodores - Slippery When Wet
    10 - Rhythm Makers - Zone

I'll whack up more playlists for funk of the other years.

    Funky,

This list is quite fine, oh yeah!!!

For coincidence I was playing that Parliament, Brass Construction's and Rhythm Makers (later GQ) tracks to my dude Zeca last saturday at my home.

SO, may I say: A piece of heaven was in my house that night!

    Peace.

    Funky Dude strikes again!

    Funky Dude is B-A-A-A-D!!

My fave from that list? (All of them?) Why not go with SHACK UP! I've got an extended 12-inch of that - where they extended the original version by joining it together. A great record.

    It's got to be FUNKY!!

If it moves - funk it!!

Funky, is the definitive name for this list. Definitely hot stuff especially Brass's 'Movin' and 'The Black Moses' Isaac Hayes; But then to have 'The Kay-Gees' to boot, let's just say I dig 'The Kay-Gees'. 'Nuff said.

    Funky dude:

I thought your first list was hot, but the second ten is right where I live. More Kay-Gees was enough, but then The Brothers Johnson, I love that whole first LP, early Kool & the Gang and to top it off 'Son of Shaft' from The Bar-kays. Once again, Funky is the definitive word.
