    TITANIC and BLACK BLOOD

Can anyone provide info on TITANIC, a European band that did
Sultana, Rain2000, Macumba and Santa Fe.
Also does anyone know where Black Blood (Chicano, AIE A Mwana) are from?
    thanx

    Hi miksaltiel :D

    Not exactly disco

You reminded me of the classic SULTANA single that was originally the B Side of SING FOOL SING it reached No5 in the UK in 1971, in fact i've got a copy somewhere on CBS

Here's a site i found showing their singles & a few pictures of the band.
On the large picture of the band at the bottom of the page, i swear the guy on the left is Kenny Dalglish (the Scottish footballer) in case anybody doesn't know what i'm on about  :D

    TITANIC and BLACK BLOOD

Thanks Stan - Actually Rain2000 was played o death in the clubs in '74-75, as well as Sultana. I include them, Santa Fe and macumba regularly in my proto-disco playlists.

Black Blood were from Baton Rouge, Louisiana according to Joel Whitburn's disco book.

    BLACK BLOOD

Hey markydefad - thanx - I think the band from Louisiana may not be the same group that I asked about.
Black Blood (AIE A Mwana, Chicano) were on 1975 playlists, they are from somewhere in Africa & vocals are all in an African language. Ive got the lp on Mainstream label, recorded in Bruxelles, Belgium.

Black Blood (not to be confused with "Black Soul") released an LP in the US on the Chrysalis Label (chr-1144) in '77, this LP contains "A.I.E. (A MWANA)" (2:58) which was a monster club hit in 1975, "Chicano" a second club hit for them is not included, unfortunately the Cover/sleeve doesn't offer any info about the origins of this group, all albums cuts are song in an African language...
