I can get the easy ones. :D

    # 3 is Bodyslam by Bootsy's Rubber Band/Bootsy Collins
    # 6 is Ease Your mind by Touchdown

I'll have to download the others to listen to them properly.

Or, it could be Vanity 6 "Nasty Girl" (1982)

Big, big thanky for your help!

Especially Track 1 seems to be a hard one - unfortunately the one I'm most interested in.

Track 8 probably could be kind of a dub version of a Style Council song?

    Great result anyway!!

    Track one seems familiar.

Sounded sorta like Mick Jagger or some rocker to me.

    Says "Double on back"

Did a title search at AMG--they show a "Double on Back" as the title of the b-side of the "Stool Pigeon" 12" by Kid Creole & the Coconuts.

    Wild guess.

you're right - found a sample of kid creole. think it's not the lp-version but the song is correct.

    10 out of 10!

Must be. The bassline sounds exactly like 'A Gospel', from their 1984 'Café Bleu' album.

There is no instrumental version to 'Nasty Girl' by Vanity 6. Jeckyll & Hyde made a rap version and the instrumental is what's here.

Not sure which album (One Way has recorded an album a year in the 80's)

Follow up: I really like track 8, so I uploaded the sample to a Paul Weller forum to see if someone there could ID it. Apparently it's a cover version by Dizzy Heights:

    Hope this helps.
