    Crusaders

The Crusaders I know are Wilton Felder, Joe Sample, Stix Hooper and ive only ever known them as The Crusaders, yet ive seen loads of different variations/bands, Jazz Crusaders, Boston Crusaders, Beat Crusaders etc are these the same band or is there other bands out there with the same name ?

Original member Wayne Henderson (who left crusaders in the late 70s) ressurected the name in the nineties and released a few albums as "Wayne Henderson & The 2nd Crusade"

The "Jazz Crusaders" was used in the 60s. They ditched the "jazz" thing around 1970.

The full Crusaders line-up in the mid 70s was: Wilton Felder, Joe Sample, Wayne Henderson, Larry Carlton & Max Benneth. Around '85 only Felder & Sample was left.
    There was life after disco!!
