3 - Bebu Silvetti - Lluvia de primavera (also known as Spring rain)

    5 - Dynasty - I don't want to be a freak
6 - Bobby Thurston - You got what it takes
    7 - Jackie Moore - How's your lovelife baby
    8 - Candi Staton - Victim
9 - Billy Ocean - Are you ready
10 - Jacksons - Shake your body (us mix)
11 - Taana Gardner - Work that body

    JackO,

    Right on, both correct.

The Jackie Moore track does not appear that often on Gemm or so,
if you see it grab it, took me a few years of searching to get it.

You're kidding? I just passed on a promo 12" of this track the other day for like $3.00! Guess I'll have to go back and see if it is still there.

    Oh, Bernie

I waited 20 years to come across this record in Europe, and
even now on Gemm there's only 1 copy listed.
If you can still get it grab it quick !

Have to add that besides this being a good track, it had an extremely
high emotional value for me, maybe others just don't like it.

GEMM is a great resource that I didn't know about, I definitley bookmarked it for future buying expidetions. After ignoring my vinyl collection for quite a few years I am just getting in the process of ripping around 3,000 12" and LPs to my computer. I was a DJ back in the late 70s early 80s and a Billboard reporter, but there was still so much great music I missed out on and am using this sites Top 700 as a guide to fill in some of the gaps.

    Thanks!

    Peter,
As I listened again, I realized it wasn't the Stargard version (they did the exact same song). The Rose Royce version is definitely better. Was it ever released as a 12" or just an album cut?

    Okay guys,

    Thanks for the responses :-)

Of course #9 was Billy Ocean (was BIG here in Holland Stan !)

The RR tracks used here were albun cuts but i'm sure that both exist on 12" .

I was in the US once tcb, but only passing through the Apple on
the way to Salt lake city :-(
Found some 45 nice MINT 12" s from a local store there.........

I would love to go to NYC sometime but...... i am REALLY terrified of
    flying  :-(

You're so right Stan; this fab track always reminds me of going to disco dance classes (don't laugh!) when I was 15 with my cousins in Stoke on trent on Saturday afternoons in 1980 :P . That whole 'Nights' LP by Billy O was great - easily one of the best disco LPs to come out of the UK IMO.

Excellent mix! Please keep them coming DJ-Pir. The Billy Ocean song is one that somehow slipped by me back then , but it is very good ... especially within your mix and I will get it. (..... ? Which came first ... it or "Don't Stop 'Til You Get Enough" .. ? ........ somebody influenced somebody ....)
