Hello all,
I seem to recall watching Donna Summer on American Bandstand performing "Love To Love You Baby" and when she was talking with Dick Clark after; she mentioned she had recorded the song in German also and she sang a few lines of it in Germand and it was the most fantastic thing.
If anyone knows how I can get a copy of that German version, please e-mail me @

Thank you --- Richard

«Love To Love You Baby» in German ?? This song really exists?
It may very well have been recorded, but I don't think it was ever released.
Just my 2 cents: could it be possible that Donna sang some lines of the German musicals she was in? Like "Hair", the German Soundtrack:
If it exists, I would sure love to hear "Ich Liebe Dich Zu Lieben, Süsse!"
A few years back , someone posted the video on the Donna Summer forum I'm a part of.
Donna is sitting next to Dick Clark after performing something off her A Love Trilogy album and she then proceeds to sing a few lines from LTLYB in German.
She sounds fantastic and it does sound very different.
I remember the people were very excited and even asked some of the fanmixers if they could do something with the vocals.
Nothing surfaced.
