Was there ever a disco version of . . .

"Love for Sale"? It might have been just an instrumental. I vaguely remember hearing it on the radio once when I was a kid.

I'm new here. Now in LA but originally from NYC. Grew up listening to All-Disco 92 WKTU in the late '70s. Before WKTU came along, there was an FM station in NYC that had all-disco shows. Forgot the call letters. Maybe Disco 102.

    Thanks!

In the 1970s WPIX-FM called itself "Disco 102". They broadcast at 101.9 mHz. Currently WQCD, a "chill jazz" station occupies that frequency.

Yes, "Love For Sale" by Vast Majority on D&M Records charts in late 1975.

I presume it's the Cole Porter tune.

    "Love for sale
    appetizing young love for sale"
    "Lost inside adorable illusion...."

    Damn, you're good! Thanks!

Now it's all coming back to me. Vast Majority -- I did a search on towerrecords.com but nothing came up.

Also recorded by Donald Bird And 125 ST NYC 1981. Very "catchy" and funky version.

Boney M did it for sure! And a very good version too!
