Does anyone know the artist who sang "Tequila"? It's not the famous one. It was a disco song and a woman sang it and it went ow wa wa Tequila, ow wa wa Tequila. There was like little popping noises in the music. I would say that Fun Fun had similar voices to the artist.
Thanks!

Unfortunately I'm at work with no sound card. I'll check it out tonight at home. Incidently, do you know the artist of the version that you attached? I remember listening to it at the Emerson High School dances in U.C. IN 1982!
The Version you are looking for, is the original Italian version of Tequila by Bo Boss, the Mo Boss version on the CD is a remake (and sucks, the Italian version is better) I guess they couldn't get licencing.

Thanks guys, I'm sure that must be it. I'm going to try and find that version.
Talk about a quick answer!!!!
Annie,
Bo Boss' "Tequila" got a US domestic release on the Emergency label in 1982. The flip side is titled "Hao Hao Ha Tequila".
 I just saw hipnogger directed you to the Emergency CD compilation. Good luck.
I have the Italian Version mentioned above, released on il Disc 8, import from Italy, Which very few songs were released on that lable, only 3 or 4 that I've seen. I have a few JDC Disco Mixers and one of them has this song on it and is different from the il Disc 8 version. There is also another great song that was released on il Disc 8 called First Vision - Revelation Day, another rare and great song from the early 80s.
The version you want is probably the one on il Disc 8
Here is the one I have, somebody has up for sale on gemm

thanks to all of you. I found what I was looking for! I'll never have to worry about waiting years and years to find something out now that I have this forum.
Thank you so so much for all your help.
Annie
I found that record last week at a thrift shop and picked it up. Never heard the track before, however; sounded more NRG, PUNK than disco to me. :-?Originally Written by ada1984
I never would think that record would show up in a thrift shop. Great find. To me it's very underground and dark, sort of like Patrick Cowley - Menergy (Fusion Version), Paul Parker - Right On Target, and Upfront - Infatuation. It would go good, being mixed with those songs....Adam
