    Rubberband Man

Hey you guys, I know it's unlikely, but does anyone know if the 12" version the The spinner's "Rubberband Man" was ever released on CD, I have the 7" on CD, but I know the 12" is sooo rare. Thanks!

The Rhino 2-cd Spinners anthology "One Of A Kind Love Affair" (1991) has the complete 7:21 version on it.

    Highly recommended. :D

The 12" in Bernie's Vault is the 7:21 version...I think that was as long as it got.

    Hey Mixmachine,

Sorry to tempt you. I would think you'd have that Spinners CD already.

BTW, YOU made ME buy the Danny Krivit 12" vinyl re-edit of Nowhere by Hokis Pokis. I saw this at Amoeba last Saturday night and bought it. I don't have this song in any other version. Was going to post about it--but couldn't find your post anywhere. :o

For the record, I timed it at 5:30 exactly. 1:30 of instrumental before the vocal starts; I feared he'd add modern "beats" to it--but no, it sounds "vintage"--just extended, I guess.

I wish they would do more of these--pay Tom Moulton to get into the recoding studio and merge the vocal & instrumental versions of old 45s into one nice seamless extended version. :D

That would be "SWEET" as the kidz say.

No need to be sorry, I was kidding.. .I have a bunch of Spinners on vinyl, but I've been getting lazy, and since I do a lot of listening in my car I rather pay for a CD than go through the hassle of recording and de-clicking etc, and before I refused to double dip for the same songs, but that all changed after I started visiting here..…
