Find them and destroy them!
The classic has to be...........
Sugar Pie Guy by the Joneses.
Obviously my favorite of this type has to be "Love Epidemic" by the Trammps, with the voice of Earl Young, who I met last night at the disco exhibit in NYC...I did not expect such a privilege. And while I was talking to him about the song and I indicated that it was my favorite by the Trammps, he sang a few words from it to me.
Temptation's Papa was a rolling stone is another one ;)
how about George Benson - Give Me Tonight
Hummmmm, deep voice? I guess I need to listen to it some more. :oOriginally Written by mixtape
Lou Rawls-You'll Never Find Another Love Like Mine
Different eyes see different things. Different hearts beat on different strings. But there are times for you and me when all such things agree...Rush
 Hello Guys...I just know I'm going to get in trouble for this one...But anyway...How about some of the Bony M songs like "Daddy Cool" or "Ma Baker?" (Seems like anytime the group Bony M comes up, there's trouble... ) Oh, well...Take Care Guys! (and please be kind...) Mario 8)
the great Arthur Prysock "when love is new"
Great pick with Mr. Prysock. I thought of that sped up Billy Paul record immediately.
How about "Part-time party man" by the Futures with a little Coasters flavor to it.
"Boogie Woogie Dancin' Shoes" Claudja Barry
Let's clean up the Ghetto with Lou Rawls.
The father of all discorecords (okay, maybe not all of them)
Isaac Hayes: "Shaft"
Laidback: "White Horse"
Boney M: "Baby do you wanna bump"
Cerrone: "Midnite lady"
Max Berlin: "Elle et moi"
Videoskooter: "Under the shower"
"My First Mistake" - The Chi-Lites
I don't know how or why I let this slip past me BITD. I re-discovered it this week and I can't stop playing it. You'd swear it's a Philly production through and through. The boys rival The Trammps with their vocals. Not a Eugene Record sound to be found here. :) And check out the man in the background giving you that "Where Do We Go From Here" sound. I LOVE THIS FUCKING SONG!!
Bernie --- I've got to thank you for having the LET'S START THE DANCE cd ompilations in your CD reviews. I found Volume 1 with this Chi-Lites track from a seller in Portugal. $5.95 US. Couldn't go wrong there. :D
Additional picks:
"Fire Island" - Village People (Don't go in the Bushes, don't go!)
"Why Leave Us Alone" - Five Special (sooo Temptations :D )
"Do It ('Til You're Satified)" - B.T. Express
"Give Me Action" - Queen Samantha (sexy background vocal)
"Open Sesame" - Kool & The Gang
Hey Nicky. Glad to see you scored that cd. Went Bernie mentioned it I immediately went looking for it but came up empty :(
Right now I have that cd on my Amazon and Half wishlist.
Find them and destroy them!
Biddu - Theme From "The Stud"
Temptations - Power (actually Melvin Franklin provides the entire bassline for that song alone!)
"Get Tough" by Kleeer
I was just going over some old 45's and noticed this one I used to love from the movie "Rocky" that never heard anyone mention here, not even in the unlikely Disco Artist section :o ..
"You take my heart away" James Darren (Disco version/'77) 6:05
It was also done very nicely by Laura Greene in '76 on Epic Records...More forgotten Disco jewels...

The vocal side A of "Les Oiseaux du Thailand" by ALBRATOS, a great sleazy "Turn On To Love" soundalike from France, has a rumbling male voice reeking of excess aftershave coaxing a nymphette not to board a plane to the tropics, which she eventually does. The deepest male voice may belong to the Devil himself as heard on the Mephisto track by Demonic Soul Affair, also out in France in 1977, or to the intoner of the papal lithany heard during the intro of Susse Kirschen, a decadent dance record by the Berlin legend Romy Haag, genre illusionist, mistress of David Bowie and onetime stage partner of Amanda Lear.
male voice in "Love Has Come My Way" by Tony Valor (1978)
"You will be a woman soon" by Biddu Orchestra :o
- gepy & gepy : african love song
- Cookie Monster : C is for cookie "Robert, Robert, i see - cookies dancing and singing.."
- love & kisses : beauty and the beast
- wild Fantasy : jungle drums
another one i dt remember... "gonna get it HUUUU" a tom moulton mix..
i remember my father imitating the male voice of boney M on "ma ma ma ma Ma Baker" when i was a little girl...
"Get Up Boogie" by Leroy Gomez (Get up 'n dance...)
