    Hi DISCO,
the song you're looking for is performed by WAS (NOT WAS). I can't remember the name of the song right now, I will do a research for you.

    Peace (paz).

Is it Franky Goes to Hollywood? 2 tribes ?
I know the videoclip had this spoof boxing match between Ronald Reagan and Gorbatjev.

(oh, i once heard a Franky goes to Hollywood VS Bronsky Beat remix. Anyone heard of this too?)

"Tell Me That I'm Dreaming" by Was Not Was does include samples of some of Ronnie Raygun's more amusing utterances, but I don't remember if that quote is one of them.
It probably is "Two Tribes" from Frankie Goes To Hollywood.

I read an interview with Jerry Harrison (keyboard player in Talking Heads) explaining how he had used it in a dance song. Look for it in Harrison's first solo albums (around 83/86) or in another artist produced by him.
He said these words were prononced by Reagan while checking the sound system just before recording a speech on USA national television.

BUT Ronnie NEVER got a blowjob in the Oval Office--so he's revered as a "Saint".

It's not Frankie goes to Hollywood, it's a little further up north:
Bonzo goes to Washington - 5 minutes (We begin bombing in) from 1985 on Sleeping bags 12" records.

Hey, disco1999: you can tell Jerry Harrison produced that track. Also that's the only featured name in Bonzo's entry in the All Music Guide.
    You're welcome!
