I will be there not to long after the doors open on its first day, and just want to remind everyone to check out this showing, which sounds like it will be a great success. Located at Donald & Mary Oenslager Gallery at the New York Public Library for the Performing Arts. Starts Feb. 1 through May 14. Visit www.nypl.org or check this for more info. :D
The showing was very much enjoyable. You enter the exibit with blown up pictures of dance floor momements of 54 and other clubs. Posted across the walls are records, history notes, DJ info, club history, a perfect replica of the moon and spoon of 54 and much more. A nice theatre room has showings of DJ, producer and artist interviews, along with history and so on. A DJ booth allows views to mix for themselves. TVs hang from all walls with dance instructor movies of the 70s along with music video clips of your favorite artsists. A great experience and a must for all disco goers!
