"Double Trouble is in the House" sample of Maze

Song came out c. 1986 on R&B radio, sample was entirely of Frankie Beverly & Maze' "Before I Let Go".

Female vocal lead sang "I don't wanna cause any trouble in town"

Male rap chorus went "Double Trouble is in the House"

Don't know the name of the group, but I don't think it was "Double Trouble"

    Thanks for any hints.

This should be " Won't talk about it " - Beats International

I think it should indeed. I now recall mis-hearing the refrain as "wanna talk about it".

Had no idea they were British.

I found a sample online of the "Beats International" version, with vocals apparently by Billy Bragg (falsetto!?).

I may simply not have listened to it for too long, but I could swear the one I hear long ago had a female lead.

Could there be a previous version?

    Theo,
The version you are looking for ( with a female leading voice ) which is by far the most played one - should be the Norman Cook remix ( 1990 - length: 5' 41" ). I am also aware of the other version you mentioned: it starts with a " Carpenters - style" chorus saying " Thank you Mr Deejay..."
