Yes, you probably didn't buy the recent re-issue of this soundtrack. The new one includes the excellent Donna-version where the earlier ones left a few songs out.

I have it on the 2CD TGIF soundtrack and love it. :D
Yea you no doubt got hold of the discount Rebound Records issue which came out around 1995/96. Im surprised thats still around?? As for the offical Casablanca CD reissue with the full soundtrack, I heard rumors that went out of print around 2000 or so. Has it been reissued again?

Ahh so it is still in print then! I got mine around 1997. But anyone who dont own this on CD should def pick a copy up. This is one of the very few CD resissues of true disco stuff that actualy sounds 10000xs better than the vinyl..not to mention Side 3 and "Je Ta'ime" (side 5) are in stereo unlike the vinyl :)

It would be great if someone would put together a compilation of ALL the songs that appear in the film: "Down To Love Town", "From Here To Eternity", etc.

There was a remake of this that came out in the 90's. Anybody remember who did it?
Anybody know if the totally different version of Lovin' Livin' and Givin' (Diana Ross) featured in the film is available anywhere? I've got the soundtrack version and the so-called "album mix" on 'Diana Deluxe' but this one is radically different and seems to be much more 'acoustic' rather than the usual rip-off of "I Feel Love" electronic sound. :P
I actualy did this recently :D Even digitaly remastered the stuff I had no choice but to take from vinyl as well and all together, it sounds like an offical CD release! Was a hard and time consuming project but, got it done!Originally Written by Boodikka

These are very rare to find but, the very first pressings of the TGIF Soundtrack on vinyl had the version of the Diana track that appears in the film. Then for some reason (maybe for club play?) they repressed it with an edited version of the "euro" mix, which is now whats known and common for the LP. The only way to know which pressing you have without playing it is by the indent numbers on the vinyl itself on the end grooves. Theres something of a small difference in the indent number on the common pressings that says something abriviating "remix". So youd wanna find the one that does not have that in the end groove indent. Id tell ya exactly what it is but unfortunatly, I dont even own a copy...a good friend of mine does and this is how I became aware of it. If youd like I can ask him for more info?Originally Written by Editmaster JT
