    Mad Disco Classics 7?

    I just bought the cd titled "Mad Disco Classics 7" Does anyone know anything about this cd?

    The tracklist is:

    Loleatta Holloway - We're getting stronger
    Family Tree - Family Tree
    Crystal Grass - Crystal World
    Ashford and Simpson - One more try
    Mass Production - Cosmic Lust
    Herbie Hancock w/ Sylvester - Magic Number
    Mandrill - Honeybutt

    Eloise Laws - 1000 Laughs
    Three Ounces of Love - Starlove
    Zulema - Change
    Curtis Hairston - Summertime
    Harold Wheeler Orch - Tornado (from the WIZ)

    At least half of these tracks exist as extended 12"s. Don't understand why releasing a comp with 7" versions.....

    I can understand the fact that compilations of well-known discohits include the 7" versions but compils like this one should contain the 12"-ones. That's sometimes also the problem when you find a good compil in het shop and the timing of the numbers is not marked on the sleeve. That can be a dissapointment too!

    Just bought Funky Collector 16-an excellent series with the full and original versions of great classics.

    i never included the times to this compilation but they do list the times on the back of the insert. The versions are all extended except for the starlove track which says its the 7" version.
