Disco Tex
Yesterday I found a cd which has the first and second album of the famous Disco Tex & his Sex-o-Lettes ( 1999, Sequel records).
Now, naturally I was very familiar with the 2 hits "Get dancin'" and "Wanna dance wit choo" but I never heard any other stuff by this guy. To my surprise it's very good. Campy, strange but extremely enjoyable. Where the first album is a bizarre mix of Disco, Glam and Broadway, the second one has excellent discostuff on it like "Hey there little firefly", "Dancing kid" and "Hot lava".
I know he was a Liberace-kinda-performer but I don't know that much about Sir Monti. On the sleeve notes they say that he's mainly performing in Strip Malls in Vegas now. Does anybody have more info on him?
(Bernie, I have the link to amazon but when I place it here the forum expands-any tips on how to avoid this? Thx)
