So many of 'em I really can't make a list.
Gotchya. I'm not specifically talking about David Bowie but he could be a part of this topic. :D
I'm talking about the disco music we love(d) to dance to. We spend a lot of time talking about the songs and rightly so. Dancing however was an integral part of disco. So share with us the kinda song that grabs you and makes you grab a woman and/or man and dance.
Included in the get down and boogie for me are There But For the Grace Of God, Cocomotion, He's The Greatest Dancer, Dance With You, and Lovin' Is Really My Game.
My grind 'em and get'em wet songs are A Love Of Your Own, Zoom, and This Must Be Heaven

Hi Paul, that "Cocomotion" stays in your head, doesn't it :D
My feet will move heavily on:

- The Ritchie Family: "Brazil" (OMG, YES!)
- The Bombers: "Get dancin'"
- The Jacksons: " Shake your body"
- Michael Jackson: " Wanna be startin' something"
- Bee Gees: "You should be dancin'"
- Titanic: "Sultana"
- Marathon: "I wanna dance"
- Anything by The Trammps!
I'll bump 'n grind on (In Belgium we call that "Plekken"):
- Prince: "Do me baby"
- Gainsbourg & Birkin " Je t'aime, moi non plus" + "La décadance"
- Frank Sinatra: " It was a very good year"
- Billy Paul: " Me and Mrs. Jones"
- Isaac Hayes: " Walk on by"
- Kokomo: " A little bit further away"
- Barry White: " Just the way you are"
I'll do anything on Herb Alpert's "Rotation"
I'll do nothing on anything by Stock, Aitken and Waterman, except leavin' the club  :D

Nooooooooooooo!
"Plekken" means: "Close dancin' on a slow beat"!!! A slow is called "a plekker".
Don't get me wrong, hahahahaha

With all this co(co)mmotion and misunderstanding I forgot a very important one: The Manhattans: "Kiss and say goodbye"!
(OMG could u imagine that Usher's next one would be called "Da Plekker" :o  :D. Then he can pay ME, that's for sure!)
You're a funny man Johan
So umm, would I want Plekken or Plekker with Salma?![]()
Find them and destroy them!
Guys, guys, guys, your fantasy is beyond every limit :D
If you ever come to Belgium (and you are very welcome here) and when you visit a club in the flemish-speaking part, you see a beautiful lady, you wait till the DJ turns down the lights and starts playing a slow (record), you go to the girl and you say "schone plekker! (= what a beautiful slow this is!) and she will ask you to dance with her! Don't do this in Holland though because they don't know those words there.
Try it, you won't regret it! :D
And to stay on topic. Whenever you come to a party here and you hear the DJ playing "La Bamba", all the people on the dancefloor form a circle and put one person in the middle. That person can only leave the centre when he/she kissed another person 3 times. The person who's been kissed then has to go to the middle and repeats the move! I don't know if other countries have this custom but here it's a classic.
Hey Johan. My fantasy with Salma takes me overboard sometimes
Anyway, thanks for clearing that up.
