HI there. I need examples of late 70s- early 80s sleaze music, that is, low-tempo stuff that was played early mornings (when the dancers needed to "come down"). I myself (barely  )remember:
Dancer-Gino Soccio
I'm caught up-Inner life
Morning Music-Siren
If you weren't afraid-Moroder(slowed down)
Don't let your chance go by- Watson Beasley
Changin- Sharon Ridley
Saturday Night, Sunday Morning-Thelma Houston
La vie en rose-Grace Jones
Fear-Easy Going (slowed down)
But there's gotta be lots more...thanks

I dunno, was this really morning music? This gets me in the mood to get dancin', not ready for leaving':)
Search the archives here. We've covered this many times and provided lists of hundreds of songs that qualify. Generally, we're talking records from 90 bpm at the low end to around 124 bpm at the high end.
Some people seem to think songs over 130 bpm (Marlena Shaw's 'Touch Me In the Morning" for example) qualify as "morning music"--just because it has "morning" in the title? :P
Generally, it's in the 100-118bpm range...from say Herb Alpert's "Rise" at 100 bpm to Michael Jackson's "Billie Jean" at around 118 bpm. Lotsa great titles listed here in the past. Just start going back page by page and look for "Sleaze" or "Morning Music" in the title headings.![]()
"Lost inside adorable illusion...."
Both Gino & Marlena when slowed down can fit in that catogory..and of corse ya gotta add the echo delay here and there and maybe some spacey effects..but hey, they do work if toyed with

i d put a slow love song just like "intimate friends" of eddie kendricks.. cos after dancing so much, people who met can go much closer, and intimate ?
marlena shaw "touch me in the morning" is good too ! Why not Al jarreau "morning" ? or "wake up everybody" of Harold Melvin and the blue notes ? it depends of people mood out there !
Hey, Isaac Hayes has plenty of them! He joined me many mornings! (not in real life though, don't get me wrong)
I usually find myself listening to these disco tunes at dawn:
Alicia Bridges - I Love the Night Life
-----------------------------------
Grace Jones - Am I Ever Gonna Fall in Love in New York City?
-----------------------------------
La Toya Jackson - Do the Salsa
-----------------------------------
Diana Ross - Upside Down
