I love Camille even on the few occasions I entirely disagree with her.
Suprised I missed that article about Giorgio Moroder since I used to subscribe to Salon. :o
Only Madonna has been able to pick up the creative torch from another inspired Italian, producer Giorgio Moroder, who worked in German studios in the 1970s when they were in Kraftwerk ferment. I love the synthesized Eurodisco style, from Pierre Bachelet's lush, eerie score for Just Jaeckin's "The Story of O" (1975) to Moroder's darkly amazing soundtrack for "Midnight Express" (1978) and his exuberant albums with Donna Summer, particularly the double-disc "Bad Girls" (1979), which I listened to nonstop while writing "Sexual Personae."
Camille Paglia :D

Find them and destroy them!
I try and try but still can't find one disco beat in the album containing Pierre Bachelet's lush eerie score for The Story of O. The film itself doesn't have any disco music in it either. So, could it be there's a different mix of the said soundtrack somewhere or is it all in Camille's mind?
