There's a guy in Holland(?) called 'Discopatrick' who has a site and (I think) a few of these acetates in his personal collection - well, he has scans, anyway. I've always tried to find out about Gianatos, who was quite underrated as a mixer. He had a 'proper' label later on called Altair.

Well, I'm back in business everyone!

Check out www.rickgianatos.com, my new label, www.nuandimprovedrecords.com, where I've signed Pattie Brooks, Linda Clifford, Scherrie Payne, her sister Freda Payne, and Scherrie, Lynda & Freddi/FLOS. My current single is just about to chart on BB with the Former Ladies, "Sisters United [We're Taking Control]." It will also shortly be released through Ministry of Sound in the U.K. on the Audiofreeks label. Audiofreaks, aka Soulshaker, are my partners on a number of projects, this being one. We expect exciting new things coming soon!

Here's video footage of Pattie Brooks, doing "After Dark [2006]"

and Scherrie, Lynda & Freddi/FLOS premiering "Sisters United" at the Music Box in Hollywood.

More coming soon, including Scherrie Payne, "One Night Only [2006]"

    Hey Rick,

I forgot to ask this in the other thread. Have you heard the recent 'old school' remixes of old disco tracks by Tom Moulton and Kenny Dope Gonzalez? By 'old school' I mean they haven't overdubbed any recent sounds like drum machines. Have you ever thought about digging out some old tracks, like some on AVI, and doing similar old school remixes?

Yes, I bought the Motown remixed and was extremely disappointed. I didn't particularly care for any of the mixes. I'm still glad they are being done.

A friend of mine, Brian Chin, is working with Motown Universal. I offered my unreleased Gap Band Mixes, Yarbrough & Peoples, etc. and expressed my desire to, at the very least, get my hands on some of the Supremes tracks with Scherrie ....

    You never know .... :-)

I would at this point rather do nu school remixes. Like, Miami Heatwave with Love Twins. I've reconnected with Laurnea from Love Twins ... I'm hoping to do some new stuff with her too in the near future!!!

AVI material is all owned by Universal too.

Edna Wright & HoneyCone will be singing "It's So Hard to Say Good-bye My Love" from my forthcoming Dreamgirls Dance Project. This project launches soon with Scherrie Payne, "One Night Only [2006]" which featured Edna as one of my Stars on Background. She was joined by Pat Hodges and Cindy Birdsong.
