COM KING this is interesting is this a dance track? i used to love an early 70s track from the vibrations 'man overboard', wonder if this could be the same song??.'man overboard going down for the third time'..............
Sam Dees penned perfection!
Released on Malaco and you can get the 45 for a few bucks!
Nope not the same tune as the Vibrations.
There's a girl overboard, there's a girl overboard. See I fell overboard and I landed in the sea of love
Great track! She has 2 compilations available on CD. One is from Varese and the other is from Malaco. Anything by Sam Dees is worth hearing. He also wrote Atlantic Starr's "Send for me" and a number of tracks from Tavares' 1979Lp Madame Butterfly.
PS: That lyric "Put a message in a bottle" is really haunting from the previously mentioned cut. The lyric at first appears to be on the list of ways his lover could contact him. But by the time the song is through and the melismatic crooning is over, you realize that's his only chance.
