Please identify: take, take, take a bite

    Hello forumers,
I was successful today having one mystery song ID'ed. Please see if anyone can help. This song, if I recall correctly, had more melody than actual lyrics. I have not heard it for 20 to 25 years.
    Thanks,
    Luis

I’ve got this record here somewhere but can’t find it now. It was released on a small label and was popular in Miami around ’85, mainly instrumental with the ‘Take a bite’ vocal chants and during the break they say “in the garden, Adam and Eve…., and the snake….….Take…take….Take a bite”, I would describe it as Techno-Funk with heavy bass and drum kick, synthesizer portions play around with an old Arabian (?) Theme used in many old cartoons during belly dancing sequences…

Here is a Deep House remix of the original by Adam and Eve , which by the way is pretty good too.

The track you're looking for is Eve Electro 'Take A Bite' (Black Suit Records 1984).

It was produced by Craig Bevan, who'd engineered for NYC's Vintertainment label (inc B Boys 'Two, Three, Break', 'Cuttin' Herbie' and 'Rock The House'). Bevan would later hook up with Steinski to work on 'The Motorcade Sped On'.

He actually gave me a copy of the Eve Electro 12" in 1984 when he came to the UK to work with me on the remixes for the UK Electro project (Street Sounds), which resulted in three singles - Syncbeat ('Music'), Broken Glass ('Style Of The Street') and Forevereaction ('U People' / 'B.E.D 34').
