Tavares, hands down. :D
Which version do you think was better? The Tavares version or the Bee Gees?
Tavares, hands down. :D
I agree - the Tavares version is the one that I think of first when someone mentions this song.
I always preferred the Bee Gees-original and I'm certainly not an intern at Universal Music :D
Tavares' version is excellent too but the Gibbies were smoother IMHO.
Bee Gees version
Tavares version lacks pop appeal
Tavares..!!
Bee Gees. But I like both versions, really.
well good question..would really depend on my mood. id say bee gees more so than tavares.. however...if ya talkin bout playin the tavares one slowed down to about -8 then id say the tavares one.

Tavares all the way here too! The song seems better suited for a non-falsetto vocal in my opinion.
bee gees hands down
Tavares, imho..
The Bee Gees kind of sqeek their way trough this track whereas
the Tavares version has SOUL all the way..... 8)
The best things in life are free, Peter
The best things in life are free :-)
Peter.
Tavares is way more danceable.
The Bee Gee's one a little more romantic. Suits the dance scene it's attached too quite well.
But I'd pick Tavares.
think bee gees was not disco but barry gibb an ammazing musician/producer who can do all type of music...but i prefer bee gees version because of the more stomping disco rythm......(good job barry...or good opportunist as you want....)
bye
Hello Guys...I love Tavares' version of More Than A Woman 100 times more!! It reminds me of the scene in the movie Saturday Night Fever when John Travolta is playing the record album for his dance partner at the studio and he's teaching her how to dance! :) When we were in High School, the kids would only dance to Tavares' version but NEVER the Bee Gees version! Speaking of one of my favorite groups Tavares, we also LOVED to dance to their version of "Free Ride!" When the opening notes to Free Ride played, we'd run to the dancefloor and immediately make two lines...A boys line and a girls line... And before long we were all doing the Soul Train line dance to that song! Take Care, All 8) Mario
I am a big Bee Gees fan but I still prefer Tavares' version.
the moment in the Tavares version where they sing "let history repeat itself"...heaven.
