Thanks for the reminder! :)
I checked their website, and they say it's taken from the original master tapes too... Anyways, I'll definitely be buying it!
The reissue of the original Poussez album with "Come On And Do It" original 12 inch version as a bonus track.
As announced at Amazon !!!
A new label called Getdisconnected is reissuing disco classics on CD. I hope we all support this big effort so more hard to find disco classics become available on CD. :D

That's exactly what Hot Productions used to say and we all know better. :-? I'll believe it when I hear it.Originally Written by neonlights
I've spoken with a person from that label and they will be sending some CDs over for me to review so you may want to hold off buying till I check it out to make sure it's the real deal.

your review can give us a good excuse for giving ourselves a nice christmas present Bernie :D
The two compilatons they offer are a very nice way to finally
get some big classics in a scratch free version with good sound quality i seached for years......
(and o so handy in the cars stereo :-)
Where on the website did you find samples? I saw the 4cd's they have available, but that's it.

Thank you NickNack - I was on the "shop" page, and didn't see the catalog page. I hope this label is able to get a lot of the good stuff out on CD. I'll wait to hear Bernie's verdict before ordering.
I heard the sound samples as well..yes they sound great..however, so did Hot Productions on alot and it does have that same compression as most of Hot's vinyl transfers did..judging on the samples I think i'll keep my LP and just do my own "remaster". Unless maybe the mp3's just gave that compression. Guess we will all find out when Bernie does the review :D

Thanks for the investigative work, Bernie! :D I just placed an order.
Hi everyone! Wanted to drop in say hello and thank Bernie for all the support and to thank all of you as well for showing so much enthusiasm. Can't thank you all enough.
You can hear the sample on the site, but yes they are compressed as they are low quality MP3. Click on the speaker symbol on the right side on the catalog page. You can also purchase from us as well (we have free delivery through December).
We would also like to hear from you. Tell us about what records and CD's you've been looking for. We have a long road ahead of us, but want your imput as well. We will try do our best.
Thank you all again and hope you all enjoy the releases.

What a difference between the tasteful people at getdisconnected.com and the bonehead interns/spammers at Universal!

And they ask for your requests guys!
- Munich Machine?
- Alec R Costandinos (if the guy is in a good mood, maybe !)
- the El Coco-albums?
And maybe they can look here for lots of tips by the incredible members and memberettes of this board?

I'd really love for the Suzi Lane - Ooh La La album to be reissued on CD.. One of my favorite Giorgio Moroder productions (not to mention one of my favorite album covers ever)! It was on Elektra records, so I don't think they'll be reissuing it anytime soon, since they were never a big disco label in the first place and probably see no benefit in revisiting their disco material.. Anyway that's another one in the suggestion box![]()
For the Moroder stuff, he's already got a reissue deal goin so for his stuff we'd have to bug Repitois (spelling?) in Germany. And as for Alec..that would be a dream come true and save me alot of time and effort that I been embarking on the past few months trying to remaster his entire discography (and I mean every LP, alias etc LOL).
Id like to also see the entire Jumbo catolog (all 3 LPs and the 1 12'' only release) on CD. We got "Turn On To Love" from the original master tapes (and they were!) long out of print..but we never seen City Girls & Get That Mojo Workin (which this one ive never even found a vinyl copy for a reasonable price!).

The website lists (among others) Charo, Debbie Jacobs and Vivian Vee - I'd love the two Debbie albums ("Undercover Lover", "High on Your Love") on CD.
Also, they have a compilation with "Give Me A Break" by Vivian Vee - what about "Remember"?
Also, I don't believe "Don't Go" by Charo has ever been released on CD.
It's good to finally have "Savage Lover" by the Ring on CD - it's also on one of their collections.
Are they the 12" versions?
WOW. That's really great news. A company like yours was SORELY NEEDED. I'm definitely buying it. I expect to buy much more in the future.Rafael wrote:

Suggestions for futures releases:
- All Greg Diamond's albums
- All Jumbo albums
- El Coco (8 albums)
- Le Pamplemousse (8 albums)
- Rinder And Lewis (5 albums)
Any other A.V.I. stuff
A friend of mine checked out Disco Classics Vols. 1 and 2. He said the compilations are a mixture of long and short versions.:(Originally Written by Bona boy
When he asked, the label mentioned they hope to include the 12" versions on the CD releases of the individual albums.
I wrote and asked them if they could get there hands on the two Three Degrees albums produced by Giorgio Moroder. However, from the info from Jimmy M, sounds like that isn't going to happen. :( :(
There was in fact about 3 years ago roughly a compilation CD out there..was an import, not sure of label, etc but it was basicly the best of the Giorgio stuff with three degrees. I just had a quick look through amazon but couldnt find it...so i got no clue if this disc included the full versions or if they were 7'' edits. I had seen it on cdnow before they changed over to amazon. Anyone here know about it or can give any info?Originally Written by keefelc

I suppose this label already has a deal with Vanguard Records, if they have The Ring's "Savage Lover" in one of their compilations, why don't they release the full album?.
It was released in Mexico in 1980 and included "Savage Lover", "Jump", "Man from America", "Ole, Ole" and "Hollywood"

By the times you gave on the tracks on em..they look like actualy most are not the original 12'' versions but special edits (like how those disco nights series did on rebound records and the hot production comps). On Vol 1.."Ring My Bell" 12'' and LP is 8 mins and some, Seventh Ave is 9 mins and Easy Going is 7 mins and some..and thats just some examplesNo offence to getdisconected, but, most of the tracks on the 2 CDs are nothing real "rare" for CD as most of em all have been on CD comps in the past (minus a few). I'll be buying the reissues though as they come along :D But good job for starting this great company and picking up where Hot left off. Will be ordering a Poussez very very soon!
