After joyfully listening to Bryan B's 2 hour mix today i decided
to make another soundbite quizz.
Being a bit lazy this week i decided to take an existing little mix
consisting of mostly early 80's tracks.
Here's the challenge
The challenge could not be easier :-) name the 15 songs and of course
their performers, and get listed in the Soundbite Hall of Fame
Have fun, Peter
Nice Mix Peter![]()
I don't know many of the tracks but as they're no takers yet i'll name a few
Todays Your Lucky Day - Harold Melvin & the Blue Notes
Turn It Around - Gino Soccio
Found a Cure - Ashford & Simpson
Keep the Faith
Hey thanks Stan :-)
You got the 3 entries right, so now we're getting on the move
Let's give 'm some time :-)
I know one more...."They Only Come Out At Night" by Peter Brown. Also, I heard a quick sample of "Hollywood" by Village People.
Definitely a very nice mix!

Whew! Damn, baby. That is the sweetest 7 minutes I've heard in quite some time. I recognize some of the songs but I was boppin' too much to care! :) EXCELLENT MIX!! I wish I'd been on a dancefloor with you up in a booth at one time. :D
Okay,

The best things in life aree free, Peter
I am embarrassed that I don't know more of these, especially with the clues!!!! Is the first song S-Express?
swerzer
The mix is great Peter but i'm finding it hard to know where 1 track ends & another starts.
Just started working on the clues
No 1 on you're list, and I hope you've missed a dot off the last word
Rose Royce - Is It Love You're After.......?
Have you put the track list in the right order? i could have sworn Found a Cure was the Last Track ![]()
Keep the Faith
No 2 on your list
Al Hudson - You Can Do It
fits the clue but i can't hear it in the mix
Keep the Faith
Stan,
Sorry to have put you off, i missed a dot indeed :-)
The first track is indeed RR - Is it love you're after (covered later by S-Express)
Al Hudson is pretty shortly used, only the "dance let your body flow" .
Found a cure is the last track but there is a piece of
Stargard - Wear it out running underneath that starts later
The list is getting neatly filled now !
The best things in life are free, Peter
The firs 45 seconds are a continous overlapping of the Rose Royce track with DON'T SAY GOODNIGHT by FIRST LOVE (A 12" on Dakar from 1980), with a small piece of the Al Hudson chorus
Also there are:
LTD - Kickin' back
Raw Silk - Just in time
Giovanni,
Right on track, you got these three right :D
Love the First choice track, even though the vocals tend to get
somewhat schreechy at some point.....
THS (The Horne Section) Lady Shine (Shine On)
it's in there before Peter Brown
