All the bartenders at Studio, at least in its first incarnation (what I like to call its heyday) were gay except Michael S., an individual known to me.

Rubell was notorious for his casting couch, as well. He did himself out of some good help (bartenders popular among the hoi-polloi) by being so myopic.

The competing club I worked for, The Red Parrot, hired gays and straights alike; and our boss never, ever engaged in any inappropriate behavior with the employees. We were more like family than employees.
