SING SING - GAZ....Released as Munich Machine?

O.K. I know I'm a total dumbnuts at times, so please excuse me if this is obvious/well known, but I can't find any info on the web.

I was playing through the Best of Lollipop records CD today to catalogue the tracks and came to Sing Sing by M. Machine (not Munich Machine). I thought "is this gonna be a remake of Sing, Sing, Sing the old big band classic or an inferior copy of Gaz's tune?" Well, lo and behold, IT IS GAZ.

Although I knew the production/writers credits for this record, I never put two and two together for some reason.

    So my questions are:
    (1) was this track ever put out by Munich Machine under their name?
    (2) As this is a HOT productions CD, did Paul Klein (the compiler/producer of the compilation CD) have a serious senior moment with this, as he even mentions M.Machine having a worldwide hit with it?
    (3) Is this a different recording, as it sounds absolutely identical to my ears (although the actual track is different to the Salsoul version in its structure/edits etc)?

Thats actualy a good question as the one hot productions Best Disco In Town Vol 1 has it listed as by Machine, no M.

I was actualy in contact with Paul Klein roughly 1 year ago as he was a customer to my old business I used to run. Never occured to me to ask him bout that as I totaly forgot bout it! I had however asked why Hot ended up disapearing and he was very hush hush about it, he wouldnt tell me much. He was a very private kinda guy when it came to the subject of Hot from what I could gather in the short time I was doing business with him...makes ya wonder why?

Sounds like laziness on Mr. Klein's part then. I just wondered if I'd missed something.

I don't think this track has anything to do with Giorgio Moroder's Munich Machine project per se.. Gaz/M.Machine was produced by Claudja Barry's husband/producer - Jurgen Korduletsch. Most of his productions were released on his Lollipop label outside of the US - I'm guessing before they went to Salsoul, they released the single as M. Machine to capitalize (i guess) on the Munich Machine name, since i think Giorgio and Jurgen used many of the same musicians in their sessions..

This is what I would have guessed too. Hence this post to confirm or otherwise. It looks like otherwise, as had this been released as M.Machine, I'm sure somebody here would have seen a copy on their travels.
