Disco in gay circles in the 90's

I don't know gay circles, but a guy who really knows the gay circles - Joey Guerra - wrote a respectable article about three especial songs that gay audiences really loved in the 90's:

    1) "To Deserve You" by Bette Midler
    2) "I Will Survive" by Diana Ross
    3) "One By One" by Cher

    That's it :D

I remember the video for Miss Ross' "I Will Survive". She was carousing on a caravan (I think) surrounded by drag queens amid a banner that read "Land Of A 1,000 Dianas".
"Everyone knows the real reason why you got that part it was the time you spent on that casting couch"--Antoine Merriwether
"Excuse me, Miss Thing, but both of us spent time on that couch"--Blaine Edwards

OMG, I've just fainted!!! A chink in the armour has finally appeared. Can it possibly be true that Gays don't have the absolute best taste? May I faint again? This bombshell is all too much for me.

LOL - but then again, a straight audience probably love Guns n Roses and Emerson, Lake and Palmer... equally as sinful! ;)

So when am I going to be able to legitimately have such a low opinion of Gays?
