I just came across this wonderful and interesting story about Tom Dowd a recording studio pioneer that is credited with many innovations that improved the studio recording quality of many artist we still enjoy around here today, frankly I never heard of him until now, and look forward to picking up this Docu-DVD asap. Since some of us here enjoy the technical aspect of the music world I'm posting it here in this section. I think the articles are available for free for 7 days.

I forgot to mention before for those that may be interested, this documentary has been playing on the Sundance channel this month, it will play next on 11/25 @ 8:30PM and Friday 11/26 @ 5:00 AM :o . It is a great historical piece including interviews with Eric Clapton on the making of “Layla”, and also the process of creating "Respect" by Aretha....
