Similar, but not the same. The "Spring Rain" album is mixed by Tom Moulton. Get both as they each have different material. See below for tracklistings:

Ok, real simple question here...has anyone heard of a Silvetti LP called "World Without Worlds", 1976 on Salsoul, stock number SZS 5508 ? It is identical to the "Spring Rain" LP but has a few extra tracks not on "Spring Rain" and it is missing "Voyage Of No Return". Any info would be great!

World Without Words came first, and is not really disco aside from the original short mix of Spring Rain. Most of the tracks are romantic, mid-tempo numbers. There are vocals, but they consist only of a female chorus singing "doo doo doo" along to the music. I find the album is evocative of some sort of late 60s European movie soundtrack. I like it, but it clearly wasn't intended to be dancefloor material.
After the success of the song Spring Rain, the album of the same name was done up. Much more the material here is danceable. As Bernie says, this was mixed by Tom Moulton and includes his longer version of the title song. Although a couple of other tracks from "World" appear on this (with different names), they are different mixes.
Ahhh I see, well that makes sence now. Thanks for the info guys. And Bernie thanks for posting it in the vault! I look forward to gettin hold of this LP as I love all Silvetti's stuff. I recall the Spring Rain LP was pretty much of this nature also with very little danceable stuff, havent heard it in a while though since my 8 Track broke when I tried to transfer it to a CDR bout 4 years ago LOL. Havent been able to find a vinyl copy for a decent price either in recent times :(

Damn!!!!!!! The version of "Spring Rain" on here is the short version of the mix I been lookin for forever! As much respect as I have for Tom Moulton I honestly have to say..the common mix thats most known..he took away alot of the danceable beat and mix and fucked it up. This version may be short as hell but sounds like it was a piece of what shoulda been a 12'' mix. Compare the 2 mixes and you'll see exactly what im talkin bout.

I enjoy these two albums and look for the 3rd one titled something like "Symphony Under The Stars". "World Without Words" is great, and the "doo doo doo doo doo..." female vocals on the first song remind me of a sped up version of the backup singers on the Dave Pell Singers' "Mah Na Mah Na". I prefer the "Spring Rain" album though; I got it for 50 cents and it had a skull and crossbones sticker on it, meaning it would not sell for the original higher price. Some stores just don't reach the right audience I guess.
I actualy see this LP is very common now after getting it LOL Ive seen it on ebay and other places for very cheap..wonder why I never knew of this before??

I'm trying to find out if there are two versions of "Concert From The Stars". Every copy I've seen has the Roy Thode remixes of the title track and "Sun After The Rain", but the matrix code has REV-1, which implies to me that something was changed at some point...
There are 2 versions of this LP. Theres one with short versions of everything, then theres a one with the mixes. I dont have any info on them though as in stock numbers etc as I dont own them.
