On the 2 CD Salsoul Anthology, "Ritzy Mambo" clocks in at 7:43 while the original album version is 5:29. Perhaps yours is an alternate version?
Walking along the street and passing Le Superfly 2 store here what do I see if not The Salsoul Anthology box set of four DMM-mastered vinyl albums, realesed in 1994! This contains a Se7en minute version of "Ritzy Mambo", much longer and ritzier than the album affair. And of course the sound quality is out of this world. So, was there ever a 12" of Mambo or is this box version a first ever realese of the long edition? I don't think it's a re-edit as there's an additional sax bit which sounds like it was meant to be part of the wonderful whole. - Rest of the tracks are same as on the albums, only with much more boom.

JussiK,
Was this box set a non-US release? I have The Salsoul Orchestra Anthology that was released in 1994 and it was a two-disc set. It wasn't a remastering of their LPs but rather a compilation of selected tracks from their albums.
The version of "Ritzy Mambo" on the 2-disc set that I have is 7:41. I have the 5:29 version that is on the Nice 'N Naasty LP as Bernie mentioned. It could be an alternate version. Unfortunately, there is no statistical information for the records on the 2-disc anthology set, so I don't know the source.
