Barry White/Love Uniimited DVD

Hey guys:
Just picked up the new Barry White/Love Unlimited DVD (Brazil) off Ebay. Overall, sound and picture quality is excellent. However, I do understand that the European version which is longer than the Brazil version is not as good. I don't know because I haven't seen the European version.

Is it available in region 1 ntsc?

Can someone further comment on the Video transfer quality ? How does it compare with other DVD releases? Does it look closer to VHS quality (washed out) or sharp like new Re-Mastered DVD? I can't find any reviews and many of this releases of old footage look very bad unless they have been re-mastered and cleaned.

Hi Mix,

well, for me it looks closer to VHS more than a newly remastered DVD. However, the quality image is not THAT bad and the concert is a great document of THE MAN at the height of his musical powers (and don't forget LOVE UNLIMITED).

IF you want a fantastic remasted DVD with great video and audio quality, try the new DVD edition of WATTSTAX. The quality of the remastering is really good - and the movie is simply fantastic!

Zeca, Thanks for your reply, I found a single review with some extra info that is not very flattering, I guess since this is a very old concert and the original material was not well recorded there is not much that can be done today. I’ll keep an eye open for a copy at a better price just because it is Barry White and we’ll probably never see anything better anyways.
