What did you think of the Eurovision song contest winner, then? The champs from Latvia sounded like they had been listening to something recorded on an average work day in Munich's Musicland studios c. 1977, so they cannot be called all that bad or what? In all fairness, Sweden should have won as they added some class to the campy disco feel of their presentation.
The biggest laugh: Russia's potbellied 40-somethings with their boy band act.

I remember watching it a coupla weeks ago. At the time, I thought Latvia's was the best and deserved to win - mainly down to the excellent choreography!!! There were a few of the entries that had a "disco" feel to them. By the way, I thought the entry for Greece was HORRENDOUS - the chorus and the backing vocals were AWFUL!!!
If it moves - funk it!!

Yes, Latvia was OK, mainly because of their choreography. But speaking of late 70's feel and Munich productions of the day, Sweden's entry rang some bells -- Claudja Barry? Some other Munich-oriented disco act? I'm not sure...

Anyway, I liked most, and I really do not know why, the three lovely transvestite flight attendants from Slovenia... A catchy song, and -- to put it mildly -- a campy performance! And if anyone's raising an eyebrow, please remember: this is the Eurovision Song Contest we're talking about! It's our very own Euro(trash) thing, camp as it is!

Oh, and poor Finland! Missed again, although I thought Laura would do better than this! Oh well...

BTW, Macedonia was great! The song had ethnic feel, and the singer was beautiful & up there with the contest's best voices.

Talking of transvestite flight attendats Laura does not look exactly feminine, either. And she sure could have used some of that air hostess chic - award for Worst Costume: Finland.
