I saw at least one of the pre 1975 Sylvers albums once but unfortunately did not buy it. I bought all their albums from "Showcase" on though. I suspect the first three albums are pop-soul along the lines of Foster Sylvers' 1973 hit "Misdemeanor" which some thought resembled Michael Jackson. Actually I think the "Showcase", "Something Special", "New Horizons" and "Forever Yours" albums are more pop than disco but should appeal to disco fans anyway, very well produced but I like anything Freddie Perren produces anyway. But "Disco Fever" was great disco all the way through and I wish they had done more like it instead of "Bizarre", and Leon and Foster's later solo stuff which I would call just passable funk pop.
