Please ID Song From 'Sex In The City' Episode

This episode was on TBS last nite and the nite before. Its the one where the girls take the Staten Island Ferry over to SI to judge a male centerfold contest. The song I'm trying to ID is the one plaid as Carrie is about to leave the bar and she asked Miranda how many drinks Charlotte has had and they turn around to see her out on the floor dancing to a song where the lyrics are first spoken then sung. It goes something like this "Hey baby, I went to see the doctor today. He said there's nothing really wrong with me, I'm just missing my man. So please baby, come home just as soon as you can." Then she starts singing 'Doctors orders say there's only one cure for me....."

I remember this song when it was out but havent heard it for years until this episode. Please ID singer and title.

    Thanks :D
