oh yeah...the rock freak sample is from GQ's disco night i'm sure of that...but which song is it??? PLEASE HELP!!!
I heard this song that I remember from when I was a kid...don't remember the lyrics to be honest, all I can tell you is that it uses the snippet "rock freak" and the "we don't want no hustle" , there is a portion of the song where it seems they include the marlboro tune, pretty good song which brings me great memories from my childhood... I hope someone can help me. The song sounds a lil' like pet shop boys...new order kinda thing, heavy on the synth and all... please please please help me if you can!!! You guru's are my only hope!

Sounds like it could be Kon Kan "I Beg Your Pardon". The Ultimix version of that song uses both those samples.
By the description, it sure sounds like Kon Kan - I Beg Your Pardon from 88. BTW, Barry Harris, a former Toronto-based DJ,and now one half of Thunderpuss, was part of this duo.
There is also sampling from Rose Garden by Lynn Anderson.
The song was "Disco Nights" by GQ. They'd chant "Rock [pause] Freak" to a bongo riff in the background and then go back into the main bass line and the verse. That was the signature of the song and many dee-jays used a loop of that signature, either in its entirety or one word at a time, to signal the dancers that the song was coming.
Definitely not rockin' but a disco FREAK,
Paul Lewis - a.k.a. JudyDoggie
