    TEMPTATIONS

I know the temptations weren't the disco era, but i'm so excited that i had to go to this forum and post about this. The temptations are performing. How awesome is that. I think its the greatest. Basically, you go to the motown museum and watch the temptations perform, then eat and dance and then take a picture with them and then they put you in a nice hotel. It's awesome. Go and check it out and tell me what you think. There's only a few more days left. Good luck!! ")

The Temptations are a classic group. Their music and the music of their day fascinates me. This summer on a cruise I was fortunate enough to watch the Drifters perform and spend a few minutes chating and taking pictures with them. I must say, even at their age, the rocked that boat like no waves could. Good music never dies!!!

The Temptations are incredible! "Masterpiece", "Papa was a rolling stone", "Standin' on the top", "The Jones" are tremendous records and we certainly can't forget the Soul-stuff they made.

    The music + the voices=heaven!

Not true! They had some early disco era club hits like
Law Of The Land & Plastic Man

The original Temps and 70s Temps were the best. Don't forget Happy People, Glasshouse, Shakey Ground and my all time favorite In A Lifetime.

The Tempts are one of my all time fav groups and I have most of their 60+ albums.
Check out the 1980 Power LP for some serious venturing into disco for Otis & The gang! :)

    Honorable Mention

Papa Was A Rolling Stone was a pre-disco era hit for the Temptations. Honorable Mention should go to them for this, among other hits!

Nobody does it, has done it, will do it better, IMHO. And yes, damn it, I wanted to be Eddie Kendricks! Just great music I'll be playing until I can no longer lift a tonearm or flip a CD cover.

The Temptations were my wife's favorite group when she was young. She saw them in concert 5 times in the late '60s!

You're right on top of it, Spellbound. Just another cheap trick by a UME promoter.
