Homage to Bebu Silvetti in Mexico

A Bebu Silvetti's Mexican friend defines him as a musical genius and "Spring Rain" ("Lluvia de Primavera") was one of his great productions :) .

Apparently this guy was Bebu's friend at some stage of his career, probably recently because he keeps naming the Latino crooners Bebu worked for on his last years (Luis Miguel, Ricardo Montaner, etc.)
However I didn't knew Milton Nascimento and Argentine classic piano player Daniel Barenboim did together an hommage-piece called "Silvetti" (in a record called "Brazilian Rhapsody" according to Casper).
The LP that includes "Spring rain" was called in my country "El mundo sin palabras de Bebu Silvetti" and it's a very good record, "dated" keyboard sound and all.

...but Silvetti wasn't Mexican, he was born in a place called Quilmes in Buenos Aires, Argentina :)

But of course! 8) He left our country in the late Sixties to make it as a professional musician in the USA (like Gato Barbieri and Lalo Schiffrin did at the time). Then he settled working for the big Latino market in Mexico and Miami.
That said, Casper doesn't say Bebu was Mexican. Why the explanation?

No doubt about it, Nano, Bebu Silvetti is from Argentina. Now I understand the Bebu Silvetti's musical way in the world: Argentina (of course), Spain (seven years), Mexico (eight years), Los Angeles (ten years) and then Miami:

(in Spanish, from Colombian newspaper El Diario)
"Gitano de la música, Silvetti, había vivido en Argentina, su país natal, antes de mudarse a España (siete años), México (8 años), Los Angeles (10 años) y Miami, donde murió de pulmonía después de haber superado el año pasado un cáncer del pulmón como consecuencia del humo que en épocas anteriores se respiraba en los estudios de grabación."

    Trying to traduce...
He died of cancer (lung) because there was humus in the air of old studios.

Wow! It seems these musicians were pretty heavy smokers! :o
    In Spanish: humo = smoke.
