Wondered if anyone had watched the "Angels In America" mini-series? I've only seen clips of it on t.v.

Is it worth watching?

Yeah-I read today that it has won several Emmy's and one was for Al Pacino (respect).

What's the story of this series?

Nrg, "Angels In America" is incredible! Very moving - both sad and some parts funny (which I didn't expect since the plot deals with AIDS). All of the Emmys they won last night were well deserved. HBO just recently released the miniseries on DVD.

This was a fantastic mini-series. Watch it if you can. Everything about it was first rate: story, acting, EVERYTHING! I'm buying the DVD this week :D

I wish the DVD was as first rate as the miniseries. Really "bare bones" - no extras, no commentaries, not even a decent quantity of chapter stops. Well, I'm sure all those bonuses will be added to a special edition DVD sometime in the future so we'll have to buy the title again. :roll:

Thanks for the heads-up. In that case, I might wait a while since I taped it when it first ran and now it's playing again on HBO's "On Demand".
