Uhh... You're killing me. That's the worst song. Why that one :-? At least flip the record over and say the awesome "Greatest Show on Earth."
What's your favourite disco tune with Tom Moulton mix ???

Amen Bernie!!! I don't get the "I Love New York" allegiance either. Boring record.
"The Greatest Show on Earth" is brilliant!!!! :D :D :D :D :D
So many brilliant "Tom Moulton Mixes"to choose from...
But my choice is... "This Will Be A Night To Remember" by the incredible Eddie Holman (of course). :D :D :D :D :D 1/2
"Lost inside adorable illusion...."
Um, On Your Knees by Grace Jones or Dreamin' by Loleatta.
"Disco inferno" by The Trammps. I still adore that piece of gold.
But Tom Moulton did many excellent remixes and he definitely must be admired for the way he did a remix. You can hear he loves each song and treats it with much respect. He doesn't change it (like some others do) but he enriches it.
How do the Americans always say it? "Tom, we salute you"!
Hey Bernie & Marky...The tuneful chorus on Metropolis' "I Love New York" is very retro sound, I like it !!! :D
Marcio,
I also like Metropolis' "I Love NY" as well. Very early 1978, a true period piece.
I like the "Disco Boogie" compilation that Salsoul put out around 1977, which was a Tom Moulton Mix.
"Everyone knows the real reason why you got that part it was the time you spent on that casting couch"--Antoine Merriwether
"Excuse me, Miss Thing, but both of us spent time on that couch"--Blaine Edwards
Here's another vote for "I love New York". Yes, it's cheesy but I love it...!!
Like it a lot also :D .

Great track-always makes me think of the beautiful girlz at the "Crazy Horse" :)
:D Is from the album TJM and the song is "I Don't Need No Music" Why? Because I Co-wrote it and played keyboards on it.. That's why !!!
Tony, somehow I knew you would say that :-)Originally Written by thetoneman

Hi fellas,Originally Written by thetoneman
hey Tony, I have the TJM album here in Brasil and I DON'T NEED NO MUSIC is truly a classic record. Congratulations, man.
About TOM MOULTON: well, he did lots of classic mixes. One of those classic mixes I can mention is MAMA NEVER TOLD ME by SISTER SLEDGE - TOM did an incredible remix of the song.
Peace,

Here is a rare "Tom Moulton mix" I never heard anyone mentioned here “How can I forget” by the Realistics, it was released on 12” in ’77 (flip of ‘Ma Mo Ha” Tony Valor on Brunswick), he took the 1973 original 7” version increased the tempo, boosted the bass kick and created extended instrumental sections by removing the vocals, the original was a club hit in NYC and NJ, anyone has any info on this group? Is not even listed on ‘All Music” and a NYC punk band are using the same name. :o
MM,
You're talking about the one on the flipside of this record...

Yeap, Bernie, tha's the one, the original 7" is a different version with a more early 70's sound and a few more vocal bars missing on the 12", But I can't find any info about this group at all. I should have check here first fort the link :-?
Love Is The Message - M.F.S.B. from the Philadelphia Classics Double LP
I had an interesting chat with Tom Moulton at the Billboard Dance Music Summit. It was the most, informative conversation that I ever had with anyone in my life!
Keep the faith and everything will come your way as time marches on!
